My Heart's In Trouble Over You
copyright 1987 by Victor Compton

I've been everything but good, as I've made my way along
and I've often been in trouble, 'cause that's the card I drew
And, I thought that I would teach you somethin' about lovin'
but, I'm the one who found myself learnin' something new.

Well, I thought that I'd be leavin' when the morning came to wake me
and no woman born could make me, change my point of view.
But, now I'm in real trouble for the first time in my life
and I can't believe the changes you've got me goin' through.

chorus:   My heart's in trouble over you
You've got me watchin' everything you do.
My mind is full of fight, but the way you love's so right
That my heart's in trouble over you.

Well, I guess I'll be in trouble just as long as I'm alive,
but it's a different kind of trouble than any I ever knew.
It's made of rings and promises and games of love each night
and facin' life together, and bein' square and true.
